i'm an adult...i can do whatever i want!!
which is why i'm having ice cream for breakfast.

Today i spent several hours sitting at the VA hospital bus stop talking to people and taking pictures of their hands. most were confused, but many were helpful and very nice (as opposed to those mean mean people, see blog on 7/28). I figured, people have nothing else to do while they wait for their bus, so they will hopefully most likely be happy to help me. Boy, was i right. Some people just kept talking and talking. it was just so great, i met some really cool and friendly people, just the way i like them. since i was at the hospital, alot of the people i encountered were retired senior citizens. they have much to say to a youngin like me. and i have much to learn from them.

so, my advice for today is, be friendly to a stranger. you can learn alot from them.
and if they ask to take a picture of your hand, just let them do it.

Ah...procrastination is nice...but progress is better.

Room update: still a constant mess. What else is new?

Once again, i spend my time procrastinating, doing anything i can to avoid the inevitable. Thank you for joining me during my procrastination. Your presence is valued.

I was just thinking about the life i will be spending next month, when summer school is over. I will be living the life of a true artist- no school, no job, and of course no income. My time will be mostly devoted to working on my projects, and of course, procrastinate working on them, among other things. Perhaps i will get a tan, or get rid of my flip flop tan. I can walk down to Black's and get some inspiration from surfers. Or I might try to perfect my skills in a pool. Alls i know is that i will wake and sleep when i want, eat and drink when i want, and will answer to no one.
I can't wait.

My hands smell like the Grove.


So today, as i was walking to school, my left flip flop broke on me. It's very hard to walk with a broken sandal. I was pretty much limping...or, flip floping...literally. So instead i decided to just take them off and walk barefoot. (Note to self: do not walk barefoot on black tarred streets in 80 degree weather at 2:30pm on a summer afternoon...) After that didn't work, i just limped around some more until i got to the grove and borrowed some tape. Of course, the tape wasn't strong enough, and they broke again during class...i ended up taking the bus home...
I need some new sandals.

My room continues to be a constant mess. Blah. But! It will get cleaned...just not for a while.

So who am I writing to out there? Somebody? Anybody? Oh well. I guess that's why i call this daily banterings...cause if i knew people were actually reading this, it wouldn't be banter, it'd be something good. Come on people! Let me know you're out there and alive!

Last night was the first time in a long time that i slept without waking up. I must've been really tired. But i had a cool dream. Of course, i didn't write it down so i don't remember what it was by now. But it was cool.

Went exploring at Balboa park today by myself because i had to take some pictures for class. It was beeee-u-ti-ful there. I took the trolley, walked around, went on a little trail, had a little dinner, and just sat by the organ place and enjoyed the wonderful view there. It was great! And then i went to the cove, and it was beautiful there too. Of course i ended up not really doing the assignment, but we'll see how they turn out. If only everyday could be as enjoyable as those couple of hours...

They've changed hotmail on me!! I go and check my mail, and everything is completely different. Whats up with that?

i told you i wouldn't keep up with this...the last time i had an entry was a week ago! not that anyone actually reads this. i'm basically writing to myself here. unless YOU out there are actually reading this. if you are, drop me a line and let me know. that way i can stop with the pointless jabber and start commenting on more intelligent things.
last night i met john tesh. it was awkward. i also met jim, his violinist. that guy rocks on the violin. it was actually a really great concert though! john has a very deep and smooth voice when he talks...very sexy. he did fatboy slim's weapon of choice. that was cool.
currently i am working on some self portraits for my photography class. blah...its very hard to take pictures of yourself, you out there reading this should try it sometime. its harder than it sounds.

hi, i am lisa ii aam 5 years old..

that was my lil cuz typing with the help of me.

you know what cartoon always bothered me? the one with donald duck or goofy where its a really late night, and donald is dead tired, you can see the veins in his eyes, and he drives up to some hotel to get a good night's rest. you know the one? i think theres several versions of this same cartoon. anyhoo, he checks into his room, and just plops on to bed cause he's so tired. so you're thinking, oh good, he's finally getting some rest...but no! the sink starts to drip with water. the bed is creaky. theres noises outside. the wind blows the windows open, and so on, and so on. and each time he has to get up from his bed to go shut off the water, close the window, or whatever. that drives me crazy!!! just let the poor guy sleep dammit!
and who says trix are for kids?? what's with this rabbit and leprechaun discrimination?? what are we teaching the kids?? one of these days the rabbit and lucky are gonna blow up and do something drastic, and we'll all be sorry.

a couple of days ago i had a dream about rivers and the rest of the band. they were all over at what seemed to be my house, along with some other people. i was so excited! i kept trying to go up to talk to them but there were all these groupies around blocking them, and i had to be a good host since it was supposedly "my house." then my dream ended, and i never got to talk to them even though they were in my house!! i was very sad. i hope they come over again.

People have suggested that i put a blog on my site, so i'm testing one out, although i'm not sure how often i'll update it...
Weekend update: Went to the mall with sara on saturday. she found a gas cap sitting all alone on a ledge. it was calling my name...szu-hua....szu-hua....so i picked it up, and took it home. when i got back to my car, i put the cap in its proper place, and it fit perfectly. it's happy to have found a new home.
