Peanut butter now comes in a squeezable tube.
Everyday things change. Things can be great, things can be horrible. But they change. And it's because of these changes that we grow as people. Without change, life would be stagnant. Like old water sitting out, waiting for bugs and larvae infestations. We don't want that. We want life to be forever turning, and churning. Like butter. Or, rather, more like waterfalls. You know, constant movement. Surprises at every drop. Life is kinda like putting yourself into a wooden barrel and just rolling down niagra falls: you know there's gonna be a big fall, but you can't see it, so you just twirl your thumbs inside the barrel, til BANG! you fall, and you're falling falling until you safely land again, and you're just floating in the calm waters, bobbing up and down and down and up. And when you come out of the barrel, you can say to yourself, wow...what a trip.....what a rush....let's go do that again! At least, thats what it should be like. Surprises you can't see at every corner. Otherwise, it'd all be boring. And we're not here that long anyways. No time to waste on boredom.
So, wherever you are on your barrel journey, just know that i'm in the next barrel over, twirling my thumbs with you. Perhaps I'll see you in line when we do it all over again.

Yabba dabba doo!

It's time for..................ANOTHER BLOG!!!!!!!
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, first things first. You people don't blog enough. You think you do.....but ooooh no, you don't.

First things second: I had a good weekend. :-)

Then, there is the business of John Cusack. Yeah, we all think he's cute and loveable, especially with all those characters he plays....but....I dunno anymore. After watching him on Conan...i was a little disappointed. He didn't seem very enthusiastic at all. Or interested in conan. How can you not like Conan?? So.....I might have to take john off my top 5. I'll give him a probation period though. But john, you betta watch yo self!

Yay, ko li ann bah bee ku tonight for dinner. yum.........

So, that's it for getting down to business......the business of getting down:
"and get down to all that matters now, which is getting down once more"

Stayed tuned....same blogspot...same blogg-er...

BREAKFAST BURRITOS

I think i once blogged about breakfast burritos, but now i can't seem to find that blog. In any case, if one day you're going through my old blogs and come across my blog about breakfast burritos at El Cotixan's, IGNORE IT! Cause i have discovered something much better. Forget El Cotixan's. Pepe's is the new thing in town! Their breakfast burritos are GI-NORMOUS! And pretty cheap, and sooooooooooooo much better than El Cotixan breakfast burritos. My cuz came home with one, and gave me half. 2 hours later, i'm still working on my half. I think eating a whole one can kill you. People have died from caloric overdose right? Anyways...comparing the el cotixan breakfast burrito to Pepe's is like comparing Screech to Mr. T. Seriously. This is a serious burrito. Watch out! Beware! But damn...it is the best breakfast burrito i've had so far.
Ok, enough burrito blog.
Buritto out.

And now, a childhood rendition...

Miss suzy had a steamboat
The steamboat had a bell (ding ding!)
Miss suzy went to heaven
Her steamboat went to HELL
O operator, please give me number nine
And if you disconnect me
I'll kick you from BEHIND
the fridgerator
there laid a piece of glass
miss suzy sat upon it,
and broke her little little ASS
K me no more questions
and tell me no more lies
the boys are in the bathroom
zipping up their FLIES
are in the city
the bees are in the park
Miss Suzy and her boyfriend
Are kissing in the D-A-R-K, D-A-R-K, Dark Dark Dark!

Ta da!
Thank you.

Ok, so i was suppose to help my mom with dinner, but all of a sudden she is washing her hair. So in the mean time, i'm gonna blog.

Today in the car after our weekly sunday dim sum, my mom asked my cuz what he had for dinner at the Angel's game.
Yang: A hot dog.
me: it was probably expensive. Five dollars?
Yang: No...seven.
me: Seven dollars for a hot dog?? Dang.
Yang: No well, it was one of those jumbo hot dogs, it was pretty big.
Shuan: Did it make you feel inadequate?

Yeah...so...

I also saw the funniest thing on tv today. It's this sport called Curling. Well, i'm not sure if it is a sport, if it's not, i don't know what else it would be. It was the Curling Championships i believe. You know how in some bars they have this game with a long smooth board with sand on it, and you have to roll a puck from one side to the other without letting it fall in the ditch? Well, curling is like a bigger version of it, on ice. It's funny because after the player rolls their stone puck down the ice, you have these two people on the same team with little brooms sweeping a path for the puck as it rolls towards the target. The aerial shot of this is just funny. I've never seen this before, but apparently it's a pretty big thing. If you know what i'm talking about, IM or email me. We'll have to talk about this. This requires some much further discussion.

And in other news, i'm back in OC. For good. That is, until I move again.

That is all.

and PS: missy can't be cuter in her dreams than in real life....she's pretty hot as is....
shhhhhhh......
Man, i should leave college more often!

When you leave, people shower you with gifts! It's like your birthday, but not. First I got a cake and balloons at a MuirWoods shindig last week. Kristin made me brownies for the musical. Christine made me lemon bars and really cool flowers...i forgot the exact name of them.... Then cady got me a really cool treasure box with our pictures on it. And chris wrote me a song (my very own song with my name in it!!! well...almost...) and him and christine recorded it for me. It is the coolest thing ever. Food, music, and presents...what more can a girl ask for. Well, probably a glass of milk. :-)

So, i might not be blogging for a while, due to....moving stuff hither and thither. Speaking of which, I'm not even completely done yet. It's never gonna get done. Why can't things just pack themselves? Why? And now i'm too tired to pack.

I have to say, I had a great day. I met up with someone I didn't think i'd see again at MuirWoods, had a lunch and movie date with Angel (chicago is great!!!), packed (boo), and went to watch A.C. Slater at the pub. Then had a lovely visit from chris and christine, which leaves me here....blogging...instead of packing.

I love my friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every one of you.
Thanks.

SH, over and out.

Horrible weather, horrible mood, horrible everything. Boooo.
It's here.

Monday, April 14, 2003

I am now the coolest person ever, thanks to my sister. She works at google, and since they own blogger now, she was able to swipe me a blogger t-shirt. It has the orange logo and blogger written under it. I feel so cool. I'm wearing it as i type. Kind of ironic, ain't it?

I tried to catch up on my prime time tonight, and watched the ending of Married by America....weird show. I watched the first episode with Jen, and watched the last one tonight with my mom. And what do you know, even though i missed everything in between, i still got the gist of the show, and that didn't make me want to watch it more. But apparently, the guy that won the ARE YOU HOT show is Kristin's teacher! Well, kinda. Kristin tutors for this class, and the class's teacher is the guy that won. How cool is that? And I saw a picture of him. He's a looker alright.

So today was my last day of work for the CS dept. Saturday was the last night of the musical. Friday my cool coworkers at MuirWoods surprised me with cake. It's all ending, and all so sad. Now i'm at home...blogging from OC. I have to say though, I've had a great quarter. I loved working at muirwoods: the people, the coworkers, the environment, the free coffee! It will be greatly missed.

And the musical. It was magical. For anyone who didn't see the show, you missed out on a GREAT show. And not just because i was in it. But it really was a good show. Wonderful group of people that i will probably not see again. The cast, they were all soo talented. And all the girls in the cast were all soooo cute. And they all had wonderful voices. And the orchestra, even though we had a slow start, I think we sounded really great by the time of the performances. And it's great when you have such a big orchestra....when you're making music with 30 other talented musicians to create this huge sound that fills the whole auditorium....that's what it's all about. It's sad to know that that was probably the last time i'll play my violin with a group...or anyone really...There was just so much talent contained in one show. Friday night was the best. The auditorium was jam packed, and we started 20 min late because there were about 20 pple who didn't have seats. And then i got to see so many of my friends there! And then E was sooo sweet to get me a blue rose, and cady got me some pink flowers. And i loved my stand partner...he is such a gentleman. What is up with me always having partners named Ken? But this guy is so cool. He got attacked by a really drunk cast member (hehe) at the party who wanted to kiss him, but he was such a gentleman about the whole thing. We need more guys like him. So, I can go on about how great the musical was...but i'll stop there.

i know i had more to blog about, but now i can't remember. I know i haven't blogged much because of the musical, but now that it's over, hopefully i will do it more. Also...the new webpage is almost done. Be expecting that sometime soon.

For now, i'm gonna go admire my blogger shirt, and read. And watch coldplay on conan later on tonight. Ah..........chris martin......droooool.............Damn that christine....i was the one that told her that he'll be on tonight, and she is still reluctant to share....damn her!!!!!!!

SH signing out.

Ok, so i was just watching the 5th wheel, and one of the girls was saying how she's allergic to alcohol. And she's white! What are the chances??

So the musical is finally over. I definitely have to say that i'm glad i did it, and was part of such a great show, with such cool people. What a way to end college, right? I know i know, you're all thinking, "good god woman, you keep bitchin about leaving, but you're still here!" I think i complain about leaving too much. I'm all talk but no action. I can go on and on about the musical, but.....maybe i'll do it next time.

All this time spent working during the day and rehearsing til late at night has kept me out of touch with the world and it's ongoing events. But, i was able to catch up today to hear some good news. Although, whenever i hear any good news on tv or radio, i always wonder if it's really good news, or if the media is just trying to reassure the country. I'm sure there'll always be a good and bad to everything. I don't know what to think anymore.

Today has just been the most perfect weather ever. I call it, the Goldilock weather. Not too hot, not too breezy. It was just right, like baby bear.

So the musical is tomorrow, and after that, i'll be gone! I feel like I'm a tv series, like Dawson Creek's countdown to goodbye, only 5 more episodes until its over, or something like that. Except for me, its more like 5 days. But, you know, Life goes on, and so do we, just how we do it is no mystery.

Yada yadda.
Gonna go take a nap.

So now its 4am in the morning....and my whole schedule will be thrown off tomorrow, and the week to come.

Ok ok.

After complaints from E, i'm back to blog. I don't have much of interest to blog about though....maybe thats why i haven't lately. I walked to school with a professor the other day. He asked me when the bus was coming, and after finding out that i was walking, decided to walk with me. We had a nice walk. I asked if he was a student. He said because i was so kind to ask him that question, he's going to buy me lunch....haha. (But not really)

Tomorrow ends the first of my last two weeks in SD. And yet, i haven't really done much other than work, work, and rehearsal. I was thinking of ending it with a bang, but now i think i'll just leave quietly....without anyone knowing. I'll tiptoe my way out.

So E, what happens when school ends? You have nothing to blog about, thats what! I've been in this semi annoyed mood lately, due to not getting what i want. I hate when i don't get what i want, or when things don't go my way. Then i start pouting and complaining. Living the single life is not so bad really. You have no one to answer to, you do what you want, when you want, and how you want it. You don't have to worry about this or that. Selfish i know, but then again, i'm a selfish bitch right?

I've started to realize lately that I'm really quite dorky. Ok ok, i know that you're thinking, why sh, you've always been dorky. True. And i already know that. BUT! I think i've become extra extra dorky over the years. I don't know what it is. But lately i've been getting these looks from people. Looks that say "are you fo real?" Or, just the sideways glance that says, "i can't believe i'm associated with you."
So, what is it, my jokes? They've always been cheesy corny...but maybe they're becoming more so.
I think this has to do with me being single. I've pretty much gotten used to living inside my head, and talking to myself. Of course i'm going to think my own jokes are funny. Cause if I were to give myself those looks that people give me, i'd go cross-eyed. And then theres that thing i do with thinking a certain thought in my head, and then blurting something out in the middle of my thought process, leaving people to wonder what the heck i'm talking about. And its not til i've confused everyone that i realize i have to start my stories from the beginning, and not the middle, because people can't hear what goes on inside my head. I've done this way too many times. Oy.

I've also been thinking, how come good looking people are never the nerds? Not to say that a nerd can't be good looking. There are tons of beautiful nerds out there. But good looking people are usually not the nerds.....why is that? Do people who are good looking have a cool gene? Are they born to be un-nerdy because they look good? If ALL nerds were good looking, would they still be nerds? Take Screech for instance...if you give him a bit of musle, flatten out his hair so that he has a blong surfer shag, unscrew his scrunched up face a bit, and put him in an armani suit, would he still be a nerd? If he was good looking, but still smart, and in the chess and math club, would the girls dig him? He'd still be screech, just better looking. I guess i'm asking, what makes a nerd a nerd. Appearance, or personality? Probably a bit of both. But what if you had the cool Zack Morris appearance with a nerdy personality.....are you a nerd? Are you?? I'm perplexed by this...

Over and out.
